Strategic Plan

Finger Lakes Visitors Connection Board of Directors believes in the old adage, "to have a plan and to work the plan!" Our current strategic plan was instituted in June of 2003, after input from many stakeholders and tourism experts. "Strategic Essentials for Tourism" is the name of the current plan. It is actually our fourth strategic plan, since 1985. Our industry is rapidly changing and saw major shifts after September 11, 2001. We continue to adapt and change, so as to remain competitive in our mission of enhancing visitorship and economic vitality for Ontario County through tourism.

Strategic Essentials is organized by Goals, Goals and Strategies (including our strategic beliefs about the strategies), and Goals, Strategies, and Action Items. Click on any of those three links to get as much detail as you'd like about our strategic direction.
