Program List
Finger Lakes Visitors Connections programs are diverse, dynamic, and down-to-earth! We are focused on marketing and making sure that our marketing efforts are effective and contemporary - and that our marketing team, both staff and industry, are well trained and effective in marketing and hospitality services. We have over 50 different
marketing
opportunities going on in any given year - some are small repetitive, but important programs - like our annual literature exchange. Others are complex, niche market focused programs with many components - like our winter marketing effort.
The best overview of all of these activities occurs in our
marketing plan - the document that outlines the goals of our organization, the target markets, and the specific activities that we'll use to achieve our mission of creating visitorship and economic development through tourism.

meetings and events. You'll see lots of links within the list, to give you examples of what we have planned or have recently completed.
And, just for fun - We've highlighted a few of our programs below or check out our sidebar on this and our other pages of the website. If you need more information just let us know about how you'd like to
get involved.
- Nature's Health Club is a cooperative venture between Finger Lakes Visitors Connection, The Ontario County Public Health Office, and the three hospitals of Ontario County. The goal of the group is to promote healthy living among visitors and residents by encouraging the use of our Finger Lakes recreational assets, great foods, and relaxing lifestyle
- Internet sales have become big business for Ontario County retailers, and we hope to translate some of these buyers into potential visitors. Our "internet card" is being distributed by retailers as they fulfill their internet orders. It invites people to come and visit the region, since they've bought a product here. More partners are always welcome. Give us a call to see how to get involved.
- Need to know how to market your tourism related business more effectively? Come to Marketing Day on November 17th at the Inn on the Lake. A look ahead to 2005 will set the stage for successful tourism promotion.
- Routes 5 and 20 is a cooperative promotion between Ontario County's tourism office and five other counties from Skaneateles to Darien. This important artery of transportation also hosts many of the tourism hotspots in those counties. Together this group wants to get more people using the road.
